Dr. Fausto J Castillo was born in Granada, Nicaragua. For three years during his adolescence, he lived in Los Angeles and gained exposure to American culture. Later, he returned to Nicaragua where he attended medical school at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua. After graduating medical school, he obtained an international Master in Business Administration where his post-graduate studies helped earn him the distinction of becoming the first Nicaraguan clinical trials monitor. By the end of 2010, he returned to Los Angeles and worked for the community as a study surveyor, registered medical assistant, and nationally board-certified medical interpreter. In May of 2016, Dr. Castillo was accepted into the UCLA International Medical Graduate Program, and in June of 2020, he completed his three-year, Family Medicine residency training at the Adventist Health Hanford Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Castillo is part of the UCLA International Medical Graduate Program Alumni. Dr. Castillo is an advocate for educating patients and positively impacting the health of the Central Valley communities. His personal interests other than medicine include: baseball, chess, family-time and traveling.
